Scientist Assignment
Research the scientists who worked with the atom.( p 128-129, 144 contain the names and contributions of the scientists.) The scientist's name, a diagram of their model as well as their contribution have to be included in a creative, colourful and unique type of design like a booklet or some time of brochure etc. It should be able to be used to help one study these scientists. This study device or aid is due next Wednesday.

Chem111 Homework during labset 1 new.doc
Lab Set One
Lab 1/5 Metric lab-This lab involves working with measurement of area, finding the density of a shape and some challenging conversions
Lab 2/6 Elements versus Compounds-This experiment involves using heat to break down compounds. You will find that it has a flaw in terms of trying to break down all compounds. You will become an expert at using the centigram balance.
Lab 3/7 Candle Lab-This lab involves making observations and trying different techniques for dealing with candle wax combustion.
Lab 4/8 Separation of Matter-This experiment involves using the various methods for separating matter to separate the components in an unknown mixture. Accuracy will be very important in this experiment
Friday February 10................................................. Scientist assignment is due next wednesday chem 111
